National Library
IU encourages all students and faculty to become a member of the Austrian National Library, one of Europe’s most prestigious libraries. For only 10 Euros per year, members have access to over 260 full-text databases which can be accessed from anywhere in the world. Please see http://www.onb.ac.at/.
Economic University Library
Have you heard about a special provision between IU and the Wirtschaftsuniversitaet (Economic University) Library?
IU’s approved students and faculty will be able to borrow books from the extensive holdings of the WU. This includes a wealth of information in the ENGLISH LANGUAGE!
As you can imagine, this will greatly enhance the range of journals and books in a number of fields which are accessible to IU.
After demonstrating credibility at IU in academics and keeping financial contracts, students may receive a letter authorizing them to gain access to the Economic University library. The library will also request to see the applicant’s student or faculty ID card and Meldezettel for the first time.
How do you qualify for this great privilege?
For students
have a GPA of at least 2.5 and have demonstrated his or her seriousness and dependability
be current with his/her payments in the business office
pay a deposit of 30 Euros which is refunded once the letter is returned back in (pending all borrowed materials have been returned)
For faculty
have an IU ID card – cost: 5 Euros (a photo is required)
