IU's Advantages
International Curriculum and Faculty: Among our faculty are top international business managers, professional educators, diplomats, and UN representatives who bring to the classroom a wealth of practical and educational experience. IU’s curriculum is globalized and regularly updated to remain current with the latest trends and perspectives. IU’s faculty emphasize interactive teaching, where students’ opinion is sought (rather than straight lecture), and role-play, case studies, group work and student presentations are commonly a part of the classroom experience at IU.

Holistic Education: IU’s goal of academic, ethical, professional, social, and spiritual development, as focused in the mission statement of IU, provides for the education of the whole person. IU’s students have the opportunity to do more than just prepare for a career – they have the chance to prepare for a meaningful life guided by God’s principles and gain skills for coping with the complex challenges of the world in which we live.

Global Career Opportunities: IU graduates hold an impressive array of positions at multi-national firms, NGOs and other international organizations throughout the world. IU assists students in locating career opportunities and in finding suitable internships to fulfill course requirements. Employers regularly report that the IU graduates they hire are very well prepared, poised for success, and receive significant promotions because they demonstrate their ability and responsibility.

Cross-cultural Competency: This important focus of IU’s programs is achieved through its learning environment comprised of both professors and students from around the globe. Cross-cultural competency is a key skill for success in today’s marketplace. At IU, interaction with people of different cultures and customs is a daily occurrence and the skills to interact successfully become a life-long habit.

Personal Attention: IU’s optimal student:professor ratio allows close interaction with professors who take a personal interest in each student’s success. The caring IU faculty and staff foster a supportive learning environment.

English Proficiency: An intensive English-language program at IU assists students in increasing English proficiency.

Transfer Credit Policy: IU’s liberal transfer credit policy assures students the benefit of the studies they have already completed en route to their desired degrees.

International Ties: IU is a member of a consortium of universities and hosts visiting professors and student groups. Through IU’s cooperative arrangements, IU students have the opportunity to study-abroad and transfer their credits back to IU.

Further Education: IU students have transferred credits, had their diplomas recognized, been accepted, excelled, and/or graduated from many U.S. and European institutions.

“Our students receive an education which makes their world smaller by increasing their understanding while, at the same time, makes their world larger, by opening challenges and opportunities to them through our unique international curricula. We believe students can change the world. IU helps them embrace that potential and make a positive difference!”
