Dr. Claus Ebster Associate professor of undergraduate and graduate level courses. Dr. Ebster teaches Business Policies, Marketing Research, Consumer Behavior; Principles of Marketing. Graduate courses that he teaches are: Research and Writing, Global Marketing Strategy.
• Together with his students, Dr. Ebster did a research and wrote a paper about it. The topic of the research was The effect of the putative human pheromone anderostenol on product evaluation. This work was published in Psychology and Marketing Magazine in 2005. • Dr. Ebster’s works were published in many other national and international magazines for business and economy. • Dr. Ebster participated in 10th International Conference on Recent Advances in Retailing and Consumer Services Science in Portland, Oregon, USA. Prof. Michael M. Gunter Visiting professor of Political Science at The International University in Vienna. Prof. Gunter has published 13 books and more then 70 articles on the Kurdish question. He is a Professor of Political Science at Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tennessee, USA. He has been a Senior Fulbright-Hays Lecturer at the University of Ankara.
• Speech for the US Embassy in Vienna in June, 2007 on the topic: “The changing dynamics of the Kurdish question in Iraq and Turkey“ • Lecture at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs in December 2006. The presentation and discussion was about “The changing Kurdish dynamics in the Middle East“ • Was one of the Speakers and Moderators of the Third International EUTCC Conference on EU, Turkey and Kurds in October 2006 at the European Parliament. • In November 2005 Prof. Gunter visited Iraq for 10 days as a quest of Kurdistan’s Regional Government. • Prof. Gunter ranks as one of the top Western experts on Middle East issues, especially the Kurdish predicament. Gunter ranks as one of only 32 top university-based specialists on the Middle East, according to Campus Watch, an organization that reviews and critiques Middle Eastern studies in North America. • He is the author of five critically praised scholarly books on the Kurdish question, the most recent being Kurdish Historical Dictionary, 2004; The Kurdish Predicament in Iraq: A Political Analysis, 1999; and The Kurds and the Future of Turkey, 1997. In addition, he is the co-editor (with Mohammed M. A. Ahmed) of The Kurdish Question and the 2003 Iraqi War, 2005; and The Evolution of Kurdish Nationalism. He has also published numerous scholarly articles on the Kurds in leading periodicals such as the Middle East Journal, Middle East Quarterly, Middle East Policy, Current History, Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs, and Orient. • Was one of the participants of conference Terrorism in History: The Strategic Impact of Terrorism from Sarajevo 1914 to 9/11 at The Wu Conference Center of the University of New Brunswick in Canada, in October 2005. • Please see Appendix 4 for the list of other works.

Dr. Vildan Bayman Janisch Dr. Janisch conducted a research on An Assessment of Trade Policy in the EU: The Case of Steel, as a part of her Ph. D. studies. Dr. Janisch is working on an article for Environment on the development of the Czech and Slovak Republics since 1990 in the area of environmental protection; Prof. Janisch used to be an Associate full time professor at The International University. She was teaching various undergraduate and graduate level courses in the filed of Economics.
• Dr. Janisch presented her research work at the International Business and Economic Research Conference in Las Vegas 2003 and received the “Best Paper Award Certificate”.

Dr. Johannes Maerk Researcher at the Universidad National Autónoma de México (UNAM); Professor at the University of Quintana Roo, México and visiting scholar at the University of Warsaw and Simon Fraser University, Vancouver. Prof. Maerk’s research areas involve Non-Western Philosophy, Ethics of International Relations, Political Thought in Latin America and Canada. He has edited four books and published articles in international journals. Teaching: undergraduate courses such as History of Political Thought, Introduction to Philosophy, International Human Rights and graduate courses including Political Ethics, Influential Leaders in Diplomatic History, and Political Ethics: Domestic, International, and Diplomatic.
• Dr. Maerk established Ideaz. Platform for Intercultural and Comparative Research. It is a non-profit association in Vienna aiming to provide a bringing-together of academics, intellectuals, and cultural workers from the "South“ and the industrialized countries in the North. This Division offers special service and know how for tourism development and research. It provides expertise and advice for sustainable national and international tourism projects. Symposium on the Appeal to the Supreme Court in Human Rights Questions
First Public Law Symposium in the Supreme Court
As the opening event of a series of symposia initiated by IU, this event took place in the Festsaal (Festive Hall) of the Supreme Court of Austria on the 24th of November 2005. Among the organizers is one of IU´s distinguished faculty, Dr. Adrian Hollaender.
In the light of intense discussion, among a qualified audience as well as in the media, on the ways of appeal to the Supreme Court in human rights questions, this symposium originated under the auspices of the Austrian Minister of Justice as an initiative of Dr. Adrian Hollaender from International University. Among the speakers were leading scholars, as well as members of the Austrian judiciary.
The large audience was welcomed by the President of the Supreme Court, Dr.Johann Rzeszut, who opened the symposium on November 24 th, 2005.
General Attorney Prof. Dr. Christoph Mayerhofer, Univ.-Prof. Drr. Dr.h.c. Franz Matscher and Prof. Dr. Wil C. Goodheer held elaborate presentations on the theme.
