Apply NOW - limited (35 per academic year) Scholarships available Effective March 12, 2010 for new European Students* Application deadlines: Summer 2010 (May through July): April 2, 2010 Fall 2010 (September through mid-December): July 16, 2010 Spring 2011 (January through April): December 3, 2011 60% Scholarship**: Tuition fee for European Bachelor Students on scholarship: only 1,750 Euros per semester throughout the Bachelor’s program. The maximum course number per semester is 5**. Full payment is required for a 6th course if permitted. Entry requirement for scholarship To qualify for the European Scholarship, a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 (compared to the American system) is needed. Any interested person unsure if they qualify may feel free to e-mail a copy of their transcripts from European or other high schools to the Dean's office at asstdean@iuvienna.edu for an evaluation of eligibility. Scholarships are awarded on a first come/first serve basis. A provisional acceptance could be based on interim transcripts through the most recently completed semester if final documents are not available at the time of application. • Scholarships only for full-time students (all semesters must be attended). • Scholarships apply to no more than one academic program concurrently. • Scholarships are not valid in conjunction with other IU scholarship programs. • Students must maintain a Grade Point Average equivalent to 3.0 (out of 4.0) in the American system. • English & Math proficiency is required (English and Math preparatory classes are not included). Math proficiency is required for Bachelor applicants only. • The tuition payment each semester is due at the time of registration for the given semester and is non-refundable. • Textbooks, fees, dormitory and living costs are not included -- only tuition is included. • This scholarship is not applicable on repeated courses. • This scholarship is not exempted from slight annual tuition increases. | Student Loan Privileges for Canadian Students |
| IU has recently been accepted by the Ministry of Advanced Education as an institution for which Canadian students can receive student loan assistance. The request for approval was initiated when a Canadian student enrolled at IU and needed approval to receive student loans. After an extensive application process and review of academic policies, programs, and faculty, IU was assigned the code QPJX under the Private Institutions Division. |

| Academic Scholarships Bachelor’s program: IU provides academic scholarships automatically for new matriculating students in the Bachelor’s program, based on their achievement in Secondary School or in transfer from another university, as follows:
To maintain an Academic Scholarship, the student must continue to achieve the prescribed Grade Point Average in the undergraduate program. Master’s program: IU provides academic scholarships for new matriculating students in the Master’s programs, based on their achievement in the Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent:
Financial-Need Scholarships Financial Need Scholarships may also be awarded, but only to students with academic achievement of not less than a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and demonstrated, proven financial need. Students desiring to be considered for a Financial-Need Scholarship must:
Financial-need scholarship decisions are made on a case-by-case basis. Work-Study: Some financial-need scholarships are provided by means of the work-study program. In this program, students are assigned to clean, monitor the library, assist in office, etc. and credit for hours worked is used to reduce their bill. Financial-Need scholarships may only be retained by maintaining a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 2.5. Failure to maintain this GPA means automatic loss of the financial-need scholarship and exclusion from the work-study program in the following semester. The student will be responsible for paying full price for his/her tuition costs. If the student increases his/her GPA to at least 2.5, he/she has the right to reapply for the financial-need scholarship. Scholarships are not available for:
